Bottle Cozy
Bottle Cozy
I found a lace pattern I wanted to play with and I had gotten tired of dropping glass bottles because they had gotten damp. This pattern met both needs.
The bottle cozy will fit Fitz' soda, large Starbucks Frappuccino, Mike's Hard Lemonade, that cider that I can't think of the name of, and all the other glass bottles I have tried it on. It is probably too big for glass cola bottles, but I have not tried it on those before.
The lace pattern used for the cozy is fairly easy and pretty stable. It requires no blocking, as it will be stretched around the bottle when in use and does not lose its shape when removed.

Repeat rows 1-6 of the lace pattern four more times (five repeats of the pattern in all). On the last repeat of row 6, ignore the YO's and do not knit any sts together. You should have 36 sts again.
Work in a 2x2 rib (K2, P2) for 8 rnds. Bind off loosely, or the cozy will not fit over the bottle.
Finishing
Weave in the two ends.
